Welcome to the Illowa Council!

We are proud to serve more than 2,600 youth who participate in Scouting in Bureau, Henry, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island, Stark, and Warren counties in Illinois and Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine, and Scott counties in Iowa. These 13 counties make up the Illowa Council!

Scouting has been shaping the youth of America for more than 100 years. Scouting does AMAZING things for youth.  Scouts try new things, serve others, boost self-confidence, make ethical choices, and explore the outdoors.  Besides being super-fun, Scouts say it helps them be more honest, teaches them to better work with others, guides them into becoming better team players and leaders, and provides life-long skills.  Prepared.  For Life.

Wow! What a party! 🥳Illowa Council's 2024 Community Impact Gala was full of great food, awards, and program. We recognized our Class of '23 Eagle Scouts, Silver Beavers, and NOESA recipients, as well as our dedicated volunteers and generous donors. We're also grateful to the Quad City Storm for their continued support of the Illowa Council and were excited to present them with the North Star Award. Plus, we were thrilled to present Steve Miller with his "faux" Silver Antelope – this award is an incredibly high honor! Illowa Council is blessed with amazing community support! #NVW #illowastrong #illowabsa See MoreSee Less
