Designed to meet the advanced leadership needs of all unit Scouters; Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing. This six day course is offered only at the council level usually every other year. The Illowa council provides the practical portion of this course over two full 3-day weekends. The piratical portion of this course is then followed by an eighteen month application phase where students apply and hone their new skills this process is called "Working Your Ticket". Upon completion of the practical course and ticket items the participant is empowered with valuable leadership and life coping skills and is thus awarded two beads on a leather thong called the Wood Badge
