Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (OLS)

Friday & Saturday - September 5-6, 2014
at Camp Loud Thunder

This is an intensive overnight course for all Boy Scout & Venture Leaders that provides instruction and practice in the outdoor skills that are important in Scouting. OLS is the outdoor training session required to be fully trained as a Troop Assistant or Scoutmaster.  Other training requirements are Youth Protection and Scoutmaster Specifics.

Cost is $15.00 and includes materials for the course and Saturday meals with the exception of breakfast.  Course begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, with set-up starting at 5:00 at Warclub campsite.  Training will conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Please bring a completed Health Form (parts A & B), a tent, sleeping gear, overnight personal items, and eating utensils. 

By the end of this training you will know proper flag etiquette, outdoor camping skills, land navigation, first aid for Tenderfoot through First Class Scouts, and more!

Registration and fees must be received on or before August 29th.  Class size is limited to 25 participants, and there must be a minimum of 15 in order for the class to be held.
