Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (OLS)

This is an intensive overnight course for all Boy Scout & Venture Leaders that provides instruction and practice in the outdoor skills that are important in Scouting. OLS is the outdoor training session required to be fully trained as a Troop Assistant or Scoutmaster.  Other training requirements are Youth Protection and Scoutmaster Specifics.

Next scheduled training date:

September 8 - 9, 2017

Registration must be received on or before September 1, 2017. Course size is limited to 25 participants and a required minimum of 15.

Cost:   $15.00 per participant, which includes all materials for the course, cracker barrel on Friday night, breakfast, lunch, and a Dutch Over dinner on Saturday night.
Important: Please eat dinner on Friday night prior to arrival at camp.
Times:   Check-in and set-up is between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Friday.  Course will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday will conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. Saturday. 

Bring:   Participants will need Health Forms (parts A & B), a tent, sleeping gear, and personal overnight supplies. Course leaders will provide patrol cooking equipment and food. Overnight stay in a self-pitched tent is required.
