Don
Johnson is the Scoutmaster of Troop 642 in Clinton, Iowa. Don has an extensive background in scouting, attending summer camp as a youth in the 40’s, with his son in the 60’s , with his grandson in the 90’s, and continues to attend Loud Thunder into the 2000’s. He has been on numerous Boundary Water trips and attended the 2001 Jamboree as 1st Assistant Scoutmaster. Don is best known by scouts in the Illowa council as the director of the highly successful Pine Tree Junior Leader Training Program. He has earned his Wood Badge Beads as well as other training awards. Don has been presented with the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver. He is also a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow and been presented the Founders Award. He is active as an Iowa State Master Gardener and is a Trustee on the Zion Lutheran Church Council.

Jerry Sheldon became an active scouter 13 years ago in Cub Scouting and is currently Scoutmaster of Troop 123 in Orion Il. Active on the district and council level in both Cubs and Boy Scouts, Jerry has been presented the Distinguished Roundtable Commissioner Award, District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver. He earned his Wood Badge Beads and attended the Philmont Training Center in 1997 and 1999. He was a 2nd Assistant Scoutmaster at the 2001 Jamboree. Jerry is active with the Orion Community Fire District, the Rock Island County Fair Board and a member of the Fair Association for 20 years. Jerry is a salesman for John Deere and an Elder with Beulah Church.

Ben Rogers was a scout as a youth and now serves as Scoutmaster of Troop 109 in Moline, IL. He became involved in scouting as an adult in 1985 as an Assistant Cubmaster. Ben has attended summer camp for the past 13 years. He has also led two canoe trips and two Okpik adventures in the Boundary Waters and a group of youth to Florida for the H.E.A.R.T. program. As scoutmaster he has taken his troop to scout camps in Michigan and the Rocky Mountains. He has earned his Wood Badge Beads. Ben has received the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver and is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. Ben is a door applications designer with Kone in Moline.

Jim Waymack has been an active scouter for the past 13 years and was a scout in the mid 60’s. He is registered with Troop 243 Milan, Il and is currently serving as advancement chairman for the Blackhawk District and associate advisor for Konepaka Ketiwa Lodge. Jim has 9 years of experience at summer camp, NOAC 1998 and served as contingent leader on the 2000 Northern Tier High Adventure’s Okpik winter program. A veteran jamboree leader, Jim attended the 1997 Jamboree as a 2nd Assistant Scoutmaster, and 2001 Jamboree as a Scoutmaster. Jim earned his Wood Badge Beads in 1997 and has served on staff several Wood Badge practicals. For his effort in supporting the Scouting movement Jim has been presented with the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, Distinguished Commissioner Award, as well as the Vigil Honor and Founders Award by the Order of the Arrow. Jim and his wife Debbie are the parents of two Eagle Scouts. Jim has been employed at OMC for 21 years. He is active with the Rock Island Conservation Club, the United Way, and is a member of Sacred Heart Parish Moline.
