Both trainings will be held at St. John's Methodist in Davenport (on Brady St, just north of Palmer) . Both trainings feature New Leader Essentials and Cub Scout Leader Specifics. Remember - Quality Program comes from Trained Leadership. We owe it to our boys to give them the best program we can! |

ON SATURDAY NOV 3 AT NEIL ARMSTRONG IN PARK VIEW, IOWA. THE EVENT WILL START AT 12:00 PM. TILL 3:00 P.M. ALL CUB SCOUTS SHOULD BRING A EMPTY SALAD DRESSING BOTTLE OR 20 OZ PLASTIC BOTTLE TO MAKE MARACAS.
ADMISSION: 1 CAN GOOD PER PERSON

| Pack 241 is losing its storage space this weekend. They have the wooden framework for a space derby. Would your unit like to have it? It is about 6 †? high and 3-4⠀? wide. The rig has to be removed by Saturday, 4/28. They will be tearing the building down after that. There are also some old canvas Scout 2 man tents and various tent poles and tarps. | Kittan will be hosting 2 Tiger Roundups for kindergartners who wish to join up. May 1st, Bettendorf Devils Glen Park and May 8th, Davenport Junge Park. Both events will feature a hot dog roast, information on summer activities, and invitations to MALT and Day Camp. All Packs are encouraged to come out and greet their newest Scouts! | Hey Scout Leaders – don’t miss out on the biggest Roundtable of the year – Buffalo Chip! To celebrate the end of the school year and the arrival of summer, May Roundtable will be moved OUTSIDE! We’ll meet at the Bettendorf Middle Park Lagoon shelter, weather permitting. May’s program will include essential information on this year’s fall recruitment. Information packets including Council Planning Calendars, Cub Scout Program Helps, and Roundup Night info will all be distributed. Make an extra effort to have at least one person from your unit there. It’s going to be fun! |

| Pinewood Derby at the Autoshow! |
|
| The Illowa Council will once again be conducting a Council-wide Pinewood Derby at the Quad Cities Auto Show at the River Center in Davenport. ALL CUB SCOUTS ARE INVITED!
The race will be held on Saturday, February 10th. Check-in is from 11:00am-12:00noon. The Tiger Cub race bracket begins at 12:30pm.
Scouts who attend the Auto Show in uniform will get free admittance! The early registration fee for each car is $3.00. More information can be found in the reservation form.It's time for the biggest race of the year! |

The 4th annual
First Aid and Medicine merit badge clinics
at Genesis Illini Hospital in Silvis (part of the Quad Cities)
Saturday February 24th
to register visit www.illowabsa.org or call 563-388-7233. There is a $10 registration fee. The clinic runs from 9 am until 3 pm.
the clinics are taught by physicians, nurses, and emt's and offer comprehensive training and stations throughout the hospital. the medicine merit badge is extremely difficult to earn on your own and offers a tour of various hospital departments and exposure to numerous medical careers and specialties.

Boys from Pack 89 spent a couple of hours cleaning out the birdhouses along Bettendorf's Duck Creek Bike path.
Pack 89 has been cleaning these birdhouses since 2001, in April and October. They put up 30 birdhouses, 10 bat houses and 6 owl houses back in 2001.
