Dynamite District Disaster Drill!
Many thanks and much appreciation go out to the agencies who prepared our Scouts for emergencies: American Red Cross, National Guard, Emergency Service Disaster Agency (ESDA), WIU Meteorology, Macomb Fire Department, Sheriff’s Department, McDonough District Hospital, Salvation Army, Macomb Health Department, Ham Radio Club, Western EMS, and the Mississippi Valley Blood Center.

Thanks also to the sponsors in the community who donated money to provide the disaster kit supplies to our families: Macomb Area Visitors and Convention Bureau, ReMax, Purdum, Grey, Ingledue, First Federal Bank, McDonough Telephone Cooperative, West Bend Mutual Insurance, and McDonough District Hospital.
At the end of the event, 55 families took home disaster kits, 24 cans of food were collected, and 6 heroes donated blood. Despite the rain and cold weather, all the Scouts had a great time and learned a lot!
